At the beginning of this semester, I was contacted by a computer science student at Xavier named Lora Anneken about the university ontology project I'm working on, and about some of the Slice and Dice UMW pages I worked on. Turned out she wanted to work on something similar, and we've exchanged comments and emails a few times over the semester.
Well, it's the end of the semester, and I want to send some props to her and her project. She's got a really nifty and helpful app that exposes course schedule info with the help of SIMILE's Exhibit. It looks fantastic, and I'm really happy to have been able to offer help and a (simpler!) example.
Also super-interesting is the way she extended the university ontology I'm working on--even in it's draft state--to handle some of the data particular to her project and her school. But, much of what she added will also find its way into the university ontology. At this point, her project is a more complete use of it than what I've been able to do!
So cheers to Lora, another new Semantic Web developer!
